Caring
Team
Greece
Baptist Church has a very active Caring Team. The team consists
of over a dozen devoted members who send cards, and at least once
each month make phone calls or personally visit about 35 members
who are no longer able to regularly attend church functions.
We
also hold luncheons for those who are able to attend and take
flowers to them at Easter and Christmas time. All this is done
under the faithful guidance of our Associate Pastor.
Our
church is what it is today because of the hard work of these homebound
members. We want them to know how much we appreciate them and
that they shall not be forgotten.

Welcoming
Ministry
One
of the ministries of our Board of Deacons is to greet and welcome
visitors and members to all church services and functions. By
doing this, we try to lead the congregation in the ministry of
hospitality. A visitor's welcome table has been set up in the
narthex to greet and supply visitors with information about our
church's ministries and services. We encourage visitors to sign
our guest book or sign-in pads at the end of each pew.
All
visitors are greeted with a warm, friendly, welcoming hand shake.
Our team tries to nurture those who return and later express an
interest in becoming members. We also advocate for accessibility
of the church facilities.
Visitor
information is passed along to the pastors if provided. They can
then follow up with welcoming notes or contact phone calls.
