Old Time Music Night

Get out your guitars, fiddles, and banjos! The first Sunday of each month is Old Time Music Night, and the community is invited to join in an evening of traditional, roots, folk, and gospel music. The music begins at 7:00 PM at the church, and audience members are encouraged to bring along their own traditional instruments and join in. Hosting the Old Time Music Nights are Senior Pastor Steve Gretz and his wife Leslie Lee. Musicians of all skill and experience levels are welcome, as are those who only wish to come and listen!

"Old Time Music Night has a double meaning for us," says Steve. "We really do like to play and sing the old songs, but we're also trying to recreate the feeling of life before television dominated our living rooms. In the 'old days' after supper, folks might break out the instruments and spend an evening singing songs and swapping stories. Entertainment wasn't just a passive experience but engaged everyone in a relationship- and community-building activity. That's what we're trying to do with our Old Time nights."

Rocket Club

The Rocket Club is a spring and summertime activity. Mainly made up of our younger members and their parents, it is open to all. Early in the year, we plan and design our rockets. Summertime is for launching with one to two events each month. Rocket launches have become an integral part of our annual picnic. It is a fun time for friends and family, young and old alike.

Our "Faith and Fiction" book group meets monthly to discuss a contemporary novel (or film) from a faith perspective. The group is open to anyone from the community. Pastor Steve facilitates the group, and when possible, makes copies of the book available to borrow or to purchase.
