About the event

Greece Ubuntu invites you to a book study/discussion group on Monday evenings. We will be reading together, Hope Rising: How the Science of Hope Can Change Your Life by Casey Gwinn and Chan Hellman.  Hope is measurable and can be increased. Most people have ACE's (Adverse Childhood Experiences) that hold us back from high hope, and if not addressed, can result in violence as adults. Many successful programs help children and adults address their low hope scores to improve their lives.

The discussions will be held at various Greece area churches, and each church will provide a discussion leader and a simple meal.

May 6: led by Cheryl at Greece Baptist Church: Intro, Chapters 1-4

May 13: led by Hans at Messiah Lutheran Church: Chapters 5-9

May 20: led by Gale/Gary at Greece United Methodist Church: Chapters 10-14

May 27: No study (Memorial Day)

June 3: led by TBA at Trinity Episcopal Church: Chapters 15-22

9 books are ordered at $8 each, already delivered to Greece Baptist Church (GBC). You can pick one up from the GBC office on Sundays 9:30-12:30, Tuesdays 10-1, Wednesdays 12-4:30, or Fridays 10-1. The book is also available on Kindle and Audible.

Please RSVP to office@greecebaptistchurch.org or 225-6160 so we have a count. And let us know if you plan to pick up a book so we know if we need to order more.
